The Visit Wales Image Centre (VWIC) has over 13,000 images of Wales, of subjects including: Landscapes, Castles, Wildlife, Cities and Lifestyle Activities.
We're busy adding more imagery and hope to expand the library to include Business, Transport, Education and Building photography in the near future.
In the meantime, whether you're a member of Welsh Assembly Government staff or not, you can contact the image centre to request images for your projects.
How to contact us:

Who you are / Who you represent (if you do not work for the Welsh Assembly Government.)

What subject matter you require imagery of.

What you are going to use the imagery for and in what context.
We will then contact you, issuing you with a unique reference number and a catalogue of images that match your requirements. High-resolution images are then dispatched, based on your selections from this catalogue.
Most imagery can be issued at no cost, especially if you are a member of the tourism industry or are encouraging tourism to Wales. However, for commercial requests and in other circumstances, the images are provided at a reasonable cost.
When you send us a request we will let you know straight away if your images will be issued free or are subject to a charge.
I'm afraid that we cannot take requests by phone - but we always respond to our email very quickly and if we need further information, we can always contact you.
Viewing Images
Unfortunately, this link doesn't work for external non Welsh Assembly Government staff - but we're busy working on a solution to allow you to view the Library as well, so please bear with us.
Commissioning photography
If you're a member of Welsh Assembly Government staff and you need imagery that isn't held in any of our libraries, you can utilise the Welsh Assembly Government’s Framework of photographers to commission new photography to suit your requirement.
